Our small group Bible Studies are one of the best ways for you to connect with other members of the St. Timothy family and apply biblical principles in your life. They will strengthen your faith, increase your Bible knowledge and form or deepen friendships.

If you have been searching for a way to get plugged-in at St. Timothy this may be just what you’re looking for. Feel free to contact any of the group leaders or Chris or Jennifer Sain if you have any questions or would like to join a small group.

Study Descriptions

David: A Heart Like His

A Heart Like His: Seeking the Heart of God Through a Study of David by Beth Moore is an 11-week in-depth study of King David, focusing on his years as God's chosen king of Israel. Beth invites you to join her on an exciting and intimate journey to know King David, the man after God's own heart. On this journey you will experience the ups and downs of the shepherd king, and you will come to know and love his God in a new way.

In this study David will make you laugh and cry. He will delight and disappoint you. He will make you want to be just like him at times and nothing like him at others. The study demonstrates how God loved and was able to use David despite his disobedience, and it offers many lessons for those seeking to have a heart like God's.

Believing God

Join Beth Moore as she explores what it means to know and truly believe God--as described in Isaiah 43:10. Drawing from the "Hereos of Faith" in Hebrews 11, this study examins the lives of Abraham, Moses and others who believed God. Through their examples, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.

Battlefield of the Mind

There's a war going on and your mind is the battlefield. Many suffer from worry, doubt, confusion, depression, anger or condemnation- this study helps in overcoming negative thoughts that come against your mind to bring freedom and peace using God's word as your guide. Drawing on personal experiences and experiences of others this study clearly illustrates Biblical principles for dealing with trials, tragedies and challenges Christians face in their daily lives.

The Truth Project

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.

Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation.

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. Read more at www.thetruthproject.org

Crown Financial

The Small Group Study is a 10 week in-depth study of what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. Graduates have confirmed that marriages are being strengthened and individuals are finding their way out of debt. They are also becoming consistent savers, generous givers, and prudent consumers. Most importantly, people are entering into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn to apply His Word. Groups meet for 2 hours every week and meetings include Scripture memorization and interactive discussions.

Crown Financial Ministries®, founded in 1976, is an interdenominational ministry dedicated to equipping people around the world to learn, apply, and teach biblical financial principles. Crown has taught or equipped more than 50 million people in nearly 40 nations with the life-transforming message of faithfully living by God's financial principles in every area of their lives.
